Weekend Friendly Series heads to Setia Alam

21 Mar 2018 | Upcoming Events

The Little League Soccer Weekend Friendly Series is back this Saturday, 7 April and Round 2 takes players to the academy’s newest centre at Ardence Arena, Setia Alam.

Just like Round 1, Round 2 of the Weekend Friendly Series aims to give all registered players a chance to put their training into practice in a fun yet semi-competitive environment.

New this time, however, is the introduction of Little League Universiti Malaya and Eco Ardence Football Academy. Teams from both centres will line up against Little League Bandar Utama and Little League Melawati to offer even more varied competition than before.

Matches for everyone

The Weekend Friendly Series Round 2 is free and open to all Little League players. No need to register, just show up on the day, join your academy teammates and kick off at your usual training time.

4 to 10 year olds will play from 8–9am with the Under 12s, 14s and 16s taking to the 2 pitches at Setia Alam from 9–10am.

The venue

Round 2 of the Weekend Friendly Series will take place at Ardence Arena, in the heart of the new Eco Ardence development in Setia Alam. Part of the Ardence Labs project, Ardence Arena features 2 full size artificial turf pitches with floodlights and is set to be a fantastic venue for future Little League events.

This will be the first opportunity for youth players to experience matches at the new venue.
