5 fun football activities for kids stuck at home ????

5 football activities for lockdown
Still no school for children in Malaysia? Try these football-themed classes, games, videos and worksheets to keep the kids entertained

Little League Soccer Summer Camps have come to a close but there’s still lots of football fun to be had at home while the schools remain closed

We don’t know about you, but after nearly 4 months of no outdoor football classes our kids are certainly missing their regular fix of training! That’s why we’ve tried hard this summer to produce football content to suit all Little League Soccer players.

Here are 5 things you can try to keep football fans entertained before schools and outdoor training return.

1. Learn to pass like Toni Kroos and more Euro 2020-inspired classes

Back in Euro 2020 season, we ran a series of 6 live football workshops in collaboration with our partners at Decathlon. Each workshop was based on a football style of a nation in the Euros and lasted between 60 and 75 minutes.

You can rewatch every single class on our Facebook page or check out snippets and highlights like the one below on our YouTube channel.

2. Try a private session with your favourite Little League coach!

Want to keep on training with a Little League Soccer coach? With The Coach Charter you can do just that. Simply look for your favourite coach at thecoachcharter.com, check their availablity and book a one-on-one class right on the website.

You’ll receive a link by email to the scheduled Google Meet video call and your coach will join you on the scheduled time and date. Simple!

Note: while The Coach Charter is currently only available for online classes, private outdoor sessions will be available as soon as individual football training is allowed again.

3. Follow our Essential Skills playlist

Since the beginning of the summer, our coaches have been recording short, easy-to-follow tutorials for some essential football skills. From basic passing drills to some fun tricks and turns, see what you can pick up from our Essential Skills playlist presented by Decathlon.

4. Join the Liga Suparimau Fantasy Premier League

We know not everyone can or wants to training at home, so why not try something for virtual instead? Our friends over at Liga Suparimauhave their own Fantasy Premier League competition running in partnership with Boost Juice.

5. Get creative with our football worksheets

During Malaysia’s first lockdown we produced football worksheets for players who’d purchased our Monthly Training Pass. Now we’re pleased to release them to all Little League Soccer members and look forward to seeing how creative our players can get!

Worksheets are available for Under 6/8/10 and Under 12/14/16 and include activities like logo design, kit design, word searches and football scenes for colouring in. Print them out and share your best designs with us on social media!
