Introducing Kickstart – Football Training for Toddlers

Join Little League Soccer's Coach Andy and his son Damian for brand new toddler-specific football classes!

Little League Soccer is delighted to introduce a brand new programme aimed specifically at 3 and 4 year olds!

Introducing the game of football to toddlers in a fun, relaxed and supportive environment, our Kickstart classes are the perfect stepping stone to Little League Soccer development sessions.

What are Kickstart sessions like?

Kickstart football classes for toddlers will be run by Little League Soccer’s managing director Andy Johnston – and his 4-year-old son, Damian!

Following new social distancing SOPS, Andy and Damian will be stationed in the centre of the field with 4 boxes around the outside for participants and their parents. Mums and dads are strongly encouraged to get involved and take part in the drills, games and exercises.

Each Sunday there will be 2 30-minute classes – Session 1 runs from 8:30–9:00am while Session 2 takes from from 9:15–9:45am, following a 15-minute window to allow for safe changeover on the field.

What will toddlers learn?

The Kickstart toddler football programme is simply about getting children playing and enjoying football. Introducing the basic concepts, techniques and rules of the game, the classes are designed to prepare 3 and 4 year olds for our Little League Soccer development sessions.

Traditionally, Little League Soccer has taken players from 4 years old into our Under 6 sessions. While some children at this age are able to cope with the Under 6 classes and syllabus, others struggle.

Kickstart aims to provide an easier entry point into football training.
